Grilling For A Cure was started by BBQ enthusiasts that saw an opportunity to assist their community through a love of Bar-B-Que. The common theme at all BBQ competitions is that they provided a great venue for people of all ages and types to come together and enjoy each other. It was through this vision that the idea to host BBQ competitions for the sick and hungry came about. Not only are these events a popular social gathering but people gain knowledge of issues they may not have been aware of in the first place.

In addition to BBQ cook-off events, Grilling For A Cure will feed the hungry. Every few months, Grilling For A Cure with the help of churches and homeless shelters, holds a BBQ night in-which families and individuals currently receiving assistance for food can come and eat a great meal. We will prepare and serve meals for everyone that needs it and attempt to find local entertainers to come and play music while food is being served.

We also want to show our support our local area charitable organizations, this is done through food donations and event sharing. Each event Grilling For A Cure will allow a certain number of private, non-profit organizations to set up a booth at no cost. We will also be donating all food cooked by contestants to local homeless shelters in the area.
